Here we are in Wales with a really nice colorful conmemorative bottle that makes us feel warm although outside is cooold ;)

En una mañana fría en Wales estamos probando algo de la gastronomía local y está muy rica! Nuestra anfitriona, Ish, nos comentó que la comida le encanta pero también (cómo vemos aquí) le hace muy feliz dormir! Dormir es bueno! Después de una rica comida, una rica siesta... No creen? ;D

Expecting to go to Gambia we somehow found ourselves in Lisbon! What happened? Guinea-Bissau happened... Long story short we found ourselves without cash after a huge visa payment at the airport... Somehow the exchange rate to Euros went up exponentially that day... No comment. So the next day after a fruitless search for a bank that would accept our cards, we had to miss our flight out because we couldn't pay the hotel. Thankfully, we came across some very helpful people and managed to catch the next flight out which just happened to go to Lisbon! Haha! The unexpected events in a traveler's life...

OK, this is a must see.  We hung out with some university students in Senegal today and shared some tea and fellowship under a tree.  This one guy had a nickname that sounded a lot like Al Bundy to me and that's what I'll call him.  He told me that happiness for him was ROCK!!!  Then we proceeded to rock together and the results where hilarious!  This was just the coolest day ever and this guy and this video show just a small portion of why.  This, my friends, is happiness.

In Senegal, we had a very special opportunity to fellowship and share time and tea with university students here in Senegal.  This was one of the most special moments of my life, being able to share laughter, stories and their specially brewed tea with such unique and amazing people.  For them, this is everyday stuff and for us, it was a shared moment that will live in my memory for a lifetime.  We didn't just hear about their happiness, we got a chance to share it with them and it was very special.  

Compartir un té con nuestros nuevos amigos senegaleses fue todo un privilegio. Aprendimos de sus tradiciones, de las etnias del país, de cómo se reunen a tomar el té, de cómo tienen una gran tradición de compartir: el té, la comida, el hacer deporte juntos, las sonrisas, el resolver los problemas juntos, etc. Y tuvimos la oportunidad de compartir con ellos aquí, afuera de la Universidad, bajo este árbol que les recuerda a los lugares de dónde provienen y al que llaman lugar 'Bueno-Sagrado'! Decir que nos la pasamos bien es poco... :)
